Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

Anyone who wants to ride a motorcycle or moped on the road needs to have successfully completed Compulsory Basic Training (CBT).

CBT is designed to provide a complete novice with the basic skills necessary to ride safely on our roads. You will be required to reach a certain level of proficiency before we can issue you a DL196.
